Ανακοινώθηκαν από την Αμερικανική Ακαδημία Κινηματογράφου οι shortlists για τα Όσκαρ 2025 σε αρκετές από τις οσκαρικές κατηγορίες, μεταξύ των οποίων και η Διεθνής Ταινία, αλλά και το Ντοκιμαντέρ.
Αυτές οι κατηγορίες είναι συνολικά τα Ντοκιμαντέρ, Διεθνής Ταινία, Μικρού Μήκους Ντοκιμαντέρ, Μακιγιάζ και Κομμώσεις, Μουσική και Τραγούδι, Animation Μικρού Μήκους, Ήχος, Οπτικά Εφέ και Μικρού Μήκους.
Στην κατηγορία Διεθνούς Ταινίας συναντάμε φιλμ που ακούστηκαν αρκετά το προηγούμενο διάστημα (Emilia Perez, Flow, Kneecap, Αrmand, The seed of the sacred fig), αλλά και ορισμένες εκπλήξεις ενώ δεν προκρίθηκε η ελληνική συμμετοχή που ήταν η «Φόνισσα» της Εύας Νάθενα.
Την Παρασκευή 17 Ιανουαρίου, θα ανακοινωθούν οι υποψηφιότητες για τα φετινά βραβεία Όσκαρ.
