Οι ταινίες «The Hunger Games» και «Bridesmaids» συγκεντρώνουν τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες για τα MTV Movie Awards που αναμένεται να δοθούν στις 3 Ιουνίου.
Οι δύο ταινίες διεκδικούν από οκτώ βραβεία, ενώ αρκετές υποψηφιότητες συγκεντρώνουν και οι ταινίες: «Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2», «The Help» και το «The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1».
Στη φετινή τελετή προστίθενται και δυο νέες κατηγορίες, οι: “Best Gut-Wrenching Performance” και “Best Dirtbag” ενώ η επιλογή των υποψηφίων έγινε από μια ομάδα γνωστών ηθοποιών, παραγωγών, managers και executives της κινηματογραφικής βιομηχανίας.
